Our History

Central Baptist Church was organized in West Palm Beach, FL on January 12, 1963. The first full time pastor, Charles Mask, led the church to lease a building on Garden Avenue and purchase five acres and a house at 4422 Gun Club Road, in West Palm Beach. The sanctuary was built in 1966 and the fellowship hall in 1970.
Expansion continued in the early 1990’s under the direction of Pastor Carl Fuentes as an Independant, Fundamental Baptist church. Remodeling in the Sanctuary, the baptismal tank, and the Sunday School rooms were completed as well as the new parking lot with landscaping and a restored office building.

We opened our preschool in August of 2008 with 17 students and now have more than 80 students. We poured the concrete for our new 80 x 125 multi-purpose building in November of 2009. The steel started going up shortly thereafter. We finished the multi-purpose building in Spring of 2021. It is now being used for Sunday School classes, church functions, and opened our Academy in 2022..

In September of 2021, our pastor of 30 years, Carl Fuentes, went home to be with the Lord. We have called our associate pastor to be our new pastor and we are looking forward to what God has planned for our future!
